Liz is also currently serving her second term on the North Dakota Jury Standards Committee.

From 2007 to 2008, Liz served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Carol Ronning Kapsner at the North Dakota Supreme Court in Bismarck, North Dakota. In October 2008, after completing her one-year term at the North Dakota Supreme Court, Liz and her family moved to Crosby, North Dakota, where Liz began her private practice and was appointed the Divide County State’s Attorney. Liz was re-elected to the Office of the Divide State’s Attorney in 2010, and continued her work as a private practitioner. Liz’s civil practice is a general practice, with an emphasis in criminal defense, civil litigation, family law, oil, gas and natural resource law, and real property. Liz also works with clients on estate planning, corporate/organizational and business law and other matters.

In her spare time, Liz enjoys being with her husband, Heath, and their three children, Elyse, Vaughn and Olivia. The family enjoys spending time outdoors whitewater rafting, fishing, hiking and camping. Liz is also an avid equestrian, who enjoys riding her horses, especially her Morgan mare, Martha.
